Stall Street Journal – Entry #23

It was exciting to watch the NEW New York Showcase Day on June 1st (the original is always in October). It demonstrates clearly just how important and popular New York Bred racing is at this time. While our stallions were not represented by a winner this time around, we are confident that in upcoming renditions they will play a big factor in this stakes-filled day of racing at Belmont Park.

Speaking of exciting days, on Sunday, June 16th, McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds will be hosting “Sundae On The Farm.” This is a fun-filled day celebrating Saratoga county agriculture. Visitors will be able to learn about agriculture and experience guided tours, farmers market, food demos, horse drawn wagon rides, live music, kids’ activities and spelling bee, ice cream eating contest and much more to see and do. Bring the whole family for Stewart’s ice cream sundaes, flavored milks and pie a la mode. For more information call Cornell Cooperative Extension at (518) 885-8995.
