Joe and Anne McMahon
Founders and Managing Partners of "McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds, LLC"

Married since June of 1970, Joe and Anne McMahon have called Fitch Road home since 1971. Joe's family is local to the Saratoga area and he grew up at the Saratoga backstretch. Anne's family is from Rhode Island. She found her way to Saratoga as an undergraduate at Skidmore College. They are the parents of five children (Michael, John, Jane, Kate and Tara), four of whom are married (Mike to Natanya, John to Kate, Jane to Rodrigo and Tara to Mike) and they have nine grand children!

Joe and Anne have been active on the board of the NY Breeder's since the inception of the organization and Joe now serves as an appointed Breeder Member of the New York State Thoroughbred Breeding and Development Board.

Each is active on a daily basis on the farm. They feel it is important to see each horse themselves regularly. Even though the farm employs a night watchman for foaling, the couple feels it is important to attend every foaling themselves, although this often numbers into the hundreds

Anne enjoys the vet rounds and hands on approach to raising foals. Joe is in the office consulting with clients on matings and racing plans and is often driving a tractor in a hay field in the Summer months.

Joe and Anne are active skiers and also enjoy boating and naturally horse racing and riding.
