Central Banker’s Sweet Sugar Pie Wins on Debut at Finger Lakes

McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds-bred Sweet Sugar Pie made an impressive first impression, winning at first asking in a maiden special weight at Finger Lakes on August 25.

The 2-year-old New York-bred filly by Central Banker, out of Sky Gal, by Sky Mesa, contested the lead from the start before drawing clear in the stretch to win by 4 1/4 lengths over five furlongs on the dirt.

Bred by McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds, LLC, Sweet Sugar Pie is trained by Paul Barrow for Richie Rich Racing Stable.

Her debut victory adds another promising young runner to the résumé of Central Banker, who stands at McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds.
