Central Banker's Mudslide Molly Breaks Maiden at Parx Racing
Three-year-old Mudslide Molly, a daughter of Central Banker bred in partnership by McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds, broke her maiden with a determined victory at Parx Racing on October 25.
Sent off at odds of 28-1, Mudslide Molly overcame a slow start to rally from off the pace in the $19,000 maiden claiming contest. Ridden by Noel Herman, the dark bay filly saved ground before advancing through the stretch, taking command in the final furlong and holding off a late challenge to prevail by half a length.
She completed the 5 1/2 furlongs on the dirt in 1:07.12.
Trained by Holly Harris for Starting Line Stable, Mudslide Molly is out of the Street Sense mare Reika. She was bred in New York by McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbred, LLC, Spruce Lane Farm, Kyle Buchakjian, et al.
The victory marks another winner for Central Banker, who continues to produce successful runners for New York breeders from his home at McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds.
